Wigan Council delivers over 7000 services for over 323,000 residents. Showcasing their success, Wigan Council were named overall Council of the Year in 2023 by the Association for Public Service Excellence.
Working with Wigan Council since 2022, DFP provide mechanical servicing and maintenance to over 100 sites in the Wigan Area, with their properties encompassing a wide range of sites including schools, hostels, and outdoor markets. The contract involved providing a flexible reactive response time in periods of contingency.
Further expanding our service offering, in 2024 we installed a Solar Edge PV System of over 100 solar panels for Wigan Council at Standish Leisure Centre. This has supported Wigan Council in its objective to be Carbon Neutral by 2038 with the installation expected to reduce their CO2 emissions by 17,132kg per year as well as saving them approximately £14,000 per annum in electricity.
