The Role
The role of a Fire Alarm Engineer will carry out works within the care home providers we cover along with the Universities, colleges and other clients such as the local councils and police constabularies.

 

The Responsibilities
As our Fire Alarm Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • A range of service, small works and reactive jobs which will include Fire, Nurse Call, Door Access, CCTV

 

  • Working on both conventional and addressable systems such as Advanced, Morley, Menvier, C-Tec, Ziton and Kentec.

 

  • Working alongside the current team of engineers
  • Identify areas for additional works within and out of the specified contractual requirements, supplying accurate quotations where required for any additional works.
  • Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately on time, and to exceed the customer’s expectations.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
  • Liaising with the office via phone calls, emails, and use of the PDA system
  • Reporting to the regional manager


The Person

This ideal person who’ll thrive in this role:

  • A good general experience in working in care homes or public sector environment preferable.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Generally, IT literate.
  • Clear communicator both oral and written.
  • A customer focused approach.
  • Ambition, drive and enthusiasm

 

The Training
Full training will be provided as we are a Notifier ESD company. Therefore, training will be available on these products also.

 

The Essential Criteria

  • Experience in Fire, Security, Warden, Call, Door Access, CCTV
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS clearance

 

The Hours

  • 00am -16.30pm 5days per week 40 hours.
  • 1.5 rate door to door
  • Overtime rate paid after 40 hours.
  • Double time paid for call outs between 12am & 5am and Sundays.
  • Call out rota 1 day in every 6.
