The Role
The role of an Electrician is to respond & repair all electrical equipment to care homes, NHS buildings, universities, local councils and authorities, sheltered housing, commercial shops, and many other properties throughout the North East area.
The Responsibilities
As our Electrician, you’ll be responsible for:
- A range of call outs, maintenance & service jobs
- Working alongside our current team of Engineers
- Identifying areas for additional works in and out of the specified contractual requirements, supplying accurate quotations where required for any additional works
- Understanding and completing all work-related documentation accurately on time, and exceeding our customer’s expectations
- Complying with company policies and procedures
- Carrying out work in a safe and diligent manner
- Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Attending and fully participating in training and appraisal activities, as required
- Liaising with office staff via phone calls, emails, and use of the PDA system
- Reporting to the Regional Manager
The Person
This ideal person who’ll thrive in this role:
- Knowledge of BS7671
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship. 2391
- Electrical inspection & testing experience is also desirable
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Generally, IT literate
- A customer focused approach
The Training
Full training will be provided.
The Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in an electrical background
- Full UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS clearance
The Hours
- 00am -16.30pm 5 days per week 40 hours
- 30 days holiday including bank holiday (Bank Holidays worked are rewarded with overtime plus day in lieu)
- Overtime rate paid after 40 hours
- Double time paid for call outs between 12am & 5am and Sundays
- Call out rota 1 day in every 4
- Overtime available
- £250 Standby rate
