The Role
The Head of Mechanical and Electrical is a management role, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the departments. The role is critical in ensuring that business processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the DFP expectations.

As Head of Mechanical and Electrical, you will oversee the departments and work closely with our Operations Director.

 

The Responsibilities
As our Head of Mechanical and Electrical, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and applying the company’s operational expectations in line with DFP’s business objectives
  • You will be required to lead a team of Regional Managers to ensure the delivery and success of contracts on a day-to-day basis
  • Creating and submitting weekly/daily reports
  • Working closely with Directors to ensure maximum expectations are always delivered for customers and internal staff
  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Work closely with Operational Coordinators to maximise operational efficiency
  • Using of our in-house operating software, JobWatch (training will be provided)
  • Continuously analysing and improving operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance
  • Develop leadership skills among team members and mentor direct reports
  • Lead and manage the Mechanical and Electrical teams, ensuring clear communication and ensuring expectations are met


The Person

This ideal person who’ll thrive in this role will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Health and Safety awareness
  • High levels of IT literacy
  • Hold industry qualifications
  • Strong managerial experience
  • An understanding of P&L and be financially aware
  • Commercial awareness to build and expand customer relations

 

The Essential Criteria

  • Experience in Gas, Heating, Plumbing and Electrical
  • Experience in management or leadership role
  • Management qualifications or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Enhanced DBS clearance

 

The Hours

  • Working hours are 8am-16.30pm Monday – Friday with overtime expected to be carried out where applicable, due to the nature of the role
  • Office based role with site visits required, where applicable
  • 33 Days holiday including bank holiday
